Celebrating Your Success: Kevin Kaifoto
Kevin is a graduate of our inaugural CRM System Administrator Micro-Credential Level 4 [CRM-ADMIN L4] delivered in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, in partnership with TupuToa.
For Kevin, completing this micro-credential was a bigger commitment than most, at the time he was working as a youth worker in Australia, and hearing about the opportunity this programme could create, he decided to commit to moving back to New Zealand, to pursue his ambition of working in the tech industry.
Kevin grew up in Auckland, and attended Manurewa High School, completing his NCEA high school qualifications there. He was familiar with using software in his role, however working with the Salesforce CRM platform would be a new challenge.
“This programme introduces the learner to the world of CRMs, what the purpose of a CRM is for businesses, and how to use them within a business context. Therefore, prior knowledge of a CRM is not a requirement to enter this programme. Kevin is a great example of how you can enter the world of tech with no background in tech.”

After successfully achieving the micro-credential, Kevin participated in our Intensive Exam Preparation Workshop, where we prepare learners for certification. Having completed the workshop, Kevin sat the Salesforce Administrator Certification Exam and achieved it on his first attempt!
Through the partnership with TupuToa, and upon completing the micro-credential, Kevin interviewed and gained a role at Merkle Aotearoa (formerly Davanti), and now works in a tech role centred around how to better link businesses to their customers through tech, Merkle is also one of the leading Salesforce partners in New Zealand.
